I wish to applaud all our NBR Officials who participated in the NBR Performance Showcase at this 2026 Summer event !
As promised, each of you received a personal feedback report. We hope it will serve to upgrade your officiating abilities as you encounter your upcoming season of basketball officiating. Attempt to incorporate the Mechanics tid-bits shared with you that can open your angles to plays whether you are located in the Trail, Lead or Slot, (Center) positions. Position Adjustments are key at each of these locations.
Meanwhile, this yearly Lifetime National Men’s Tournament provided the type of pro-oriented basketball competition that is needed for elevating officiating abilities.
Your involved learning participation in the prep class on Friday evening established the focus we needed for the games that would be before us on Saturday and Sunday.
Next summer, providing the Tournament will continue its success, we must hold firm on reducing the number of “invited officials” to either 27 or 30 and not the 32 we permitted into the Showcase.
Next Summer, there will be “No half Game Assignments” even though our goal was to provide officials with less upper level game competition, an opportunity to have this modified experience.
Teams noticed this and want to be assured the assigned 3 officials will to be maintained throughout the game.
In closing, each of you did a formidable job by elevating your officiating stature. In some cases, there were officials presented to people for whom you have a pursued officiating.
Congratulations to all of you! We will see most of you next summer whgen the sign-up is posted since our “invitees” are based on “first -come, first-serve”.
Thanks!
